About

The Only Site Built Entirely Around Mattress Sizing

James Calloway relocated seven times in eleven years across
four states and became obsessed with one problem nobody had
solved properly online — finding accurate, complete mattress
size information in one place. He founded BedSizeHub in 2024
as the independent, data-first mattress sizing reference he
always needed. No brand deals. No sponsored recommendations.

Most mattress information on the internet comes from retailers trying to sell you something, review sites earning affiliate commissions on brand recommendations, or general home blogs that mention mattress sizes as an afterthought.

BedSizeHub exists for one reason — to be the most complete, most accurate, and most independent mattress sizing reference in the United States.

Every single page on this site answers one of three questions: What are the exact dimensions? Which size fits my situation? How do I choose between sizes? Nothing else. No brand reviews. No sponsored recommendations. No affiliate-driven “best of” lists disguised as editorial content.

What Makes BedSizeHub Different

We cover every size — not just the popular seven.

Most sites tell you about Twin, Full, Queen, King, and California King and stop there. BedSizeHub covers all of them — including RV and camper-specific sizes that differ from residential mattresses, antique bed frame dimensions for homes built before 1950, waterbed dimensions for both hard-side and soft-side frames, specialty oversized sizes like the Wyoming King, Texas King, and Alaskan King, and international sizing systems used in the UK, Europe, Australia, and by IKEA.

We are completely independent.

BedSizeHub has no relationship with any mattress brand. No manufacturer pays to be featured here. No retailer influences our recommendations. When we say a Queen mattress measures 60 inches by 80 inches, that number comes from industry standards — not from a brand’s marketing sheet.

We answer the question behind the question.

When someone searches for mattress sizes, they rarely just want numbers. They want to know if a King will fit in their 12 by 12 bedroom. They want to know if a Short Queen is the same as a standard Queen for their RV. They want to know which size gives their tall partner enough legroom. BedSizeHub answers all of it — not just the surface question.

What We Cover:

BedSizeHub is organized around six complete topic pillars. Every article on this site lives inside one of these six areas:

Standard US Mattress Sizes — complete dimensions for every standard size from Twin to California King, with room-fit guidance, bedding compatibility, and buying considerations for each.

Room Size and Bedroom Fit — dedicated guides for every common bedroom configuration, from 10 by 10 rooms to master suites, including studio apartments, guest rooms, bunk bed setups, Murphy beds, and loft beds.

Specialty and Custom Sizes — the complete reference for non-standard mattress dimensions including oversized sizes, RV and camper sizes, antique bed sizes, waterbed dimensions, and international sizing systems.

Buyer Persona Guides — size recommendations tailored to specific situations — couples, tall sleepers, children at every age, seniors, side sleepers, heavy sleepers, college students, and pet owners.

Bedding and Accessory Sizing — sheet sizes, bed frame dimensions, headboard heights, mattress topper sizing, box spring dimensions, and duvet sizes matched to every mattress.

Size Comparisons — direct side-by-side comparisons for every common sizing decision — Queen vs King, Twin vs Twin XL, Full vs Queen, King vs California King, and more.

Our Editorial Standards:

Every piece of content on BedSizeHub is held to three standards before publication.

Accuracy first. Every dimension cited on this site is cross-referenced against industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and the International Sleep Products Association data. When sources conflict, we note the discrepancy and explain which figure is most widely accepted.

Completeness over brevity. A guide that answers 80% of a reader’s questions is not a complete guide. Every article on BedSizeHub is written to fully cover its topic — including the edge cases, the exceptions, and the questions most sites ignore.

No commercial influence. Affiliate links exist on some pages — they are always disclosed, always clearly separated from editorial recommendations, and never influence the information we publish. The dimensions of a Queen mattress are the same whether or not we earn a commission on a sheet set that fits it.

What We Deliberately Do Not Cover:

BedSizeHub does not publish mattress brand reviews, firmness comparisons, sleep health content, pillow or bedding product reviews, or general interior design advice.

If a topic does not directly answer a sizing or dimension question, it does not belong on this site. This focus is intentional — it is what makes BedSizeHub the most complete resource in its specific lane rather than a generic sleep blog competing in a crowded space.

Meet the Founder

James Calloway — Founder and Lead Editor

James Calloway relocated seven times in eleven years — across four states, three apartments, and two houses — and became obsessed with one problem that nobody had solved properly online: finding accurate, complete mattress size information in one place.

Every move meant a new bedroom, a new layout, a new confusion about whether the Queen would fit, whether the RV Short Queen was the same as a standard Short Queen, whether European bed frames would accept US mattresses. The answers were always scattered across retailer sites with obvious bias, Reddit threads with conflicting information, and manufacturer specs that contradicted each other.

In 2024, James built BedSizeHub to be the resource he always needed — independent, data-first, covering every size from Twin to Alaskan King, every use case from dorm rooms to RV conversions. The goal was simple: one site where the sizing question is always answered completely, accurately, and without a sales agenda behind it.

James personally researches, writes, and edits every guide published on BedSizeHub. When outside contributors are added, every piece goes through the same editorial review process before publication.

You can read all of James’s published guides on his author page or reach him directly through the Contact page.

Contact and Corrections:

If you find an error on any page — a dimension that conflicts with manufacturer specs, a room-fit calculation that doesn’t add up, or any factual inaccuracy — please contact us. We take accuracy seriously and correct errors promptly.

Reach James directly through the Contact page. Response time is typically 24 to 48 hours.

BedSizeHub is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with any mattress manufacturer, retailer, or sleep industry organization.
